One Vision was established in October 1998 through a free speech group. The group found it easier and much more effective getting their point across on video. Taking away the live presentation allowed people to relax and work at their own pace.
The whole process was enjoyed so much we decided to set up as a not for profit organization
One Vision has been awarded funding from the Big Lottery fund allowing us to operate 5 days a week and employ 5 staff.
There are 15 members who run the management committee all of whom have a learning disability.
One Vision works within the Wigan Borough and has produced videos for free speech groups in and around Wigan.
We have produced videos for Wigan Social Services about the complaints procedures and an induction video for new employees

Through all our activities we aim to improve confidence and self esteem
and to enable ‘people with learning disabilities to lead full
and purposeful lives within their community.
We run a series of superbly organised mini bus trips to some of the most beautiful gardens and places of interest in the country. It's the ideal opportunity to explore destinations that have been carefully chosen for their unique and outstanding appeal.
The real meaning of a team is much more specific than it is often used and that is really about a group of people who are working together to achieve a mutually achievable goal the reoccurring theme seems to be one of socializing and having fun.
To finish off yet another sucessfull year we go on our Christmas"You get to see a completely different side of your colleagues and just have a bit more of a laugh with each other in an environment that is outside your normal workplace"
